Ameren Missouri Looking to Acquire Largest-Ever Solar Facility to be Built on Border of Missouri’s Audrain and Ralls Counties

Ameren Missouri is planning to acquire its largest-ever solar facility and it will be constructed on the border of Missouri’s Audrain and Ralls counties.

According to a press release from Ameren Missouri yesterday (Monday), the 200 megawatt solar installation in central Missouri is expected to create over 250 construction jobs.

It is known as the Huck Finn Solar project and is expected to produce enough energy to power about 40,000 homes.

Once it is completed, it will generate more than 25 times the amount of energy currently being produced at Missouri’s largest existing solar facility.

If the project gets timely regulatory approvals, it could be fully operational as soon as 2024.
