Mexico 9th grade boys basketball picks up a tough win at home last night over Capital City 47 – 46.

They’ll play Centralia at home on Monday night.

Mexico varsity boys are back in action in St. Louis tonight in the Lindbergh Tournament.

Tipoff is at 6:50.

Community R-VI Trojan boys improve to 8 – 7 on the season after beating Madison Tuesday night 59 – 25.

According to coach Tad Shotten, R-VI continued to get off to a slow start but were able to work in some players that haven’t seen as much playing time this season.

R-VI was led in scoring by Eli Johnson with 15 points, Mason Caroll and Gavin Allen with 14 each, Logan Johnson with 7, Tucker Robnett contributed 6, Clayton Jennings with 3, and Brant Cope and Kyler Swaim each had a pair of points.

The #20 Mizzou men’s basketball team falls to 13 – 3 on the season and are even at 2 – 2 in SEC play after a loss to the Aggies of Texas A&M last night, 82 – 64.

The Tigers weren’t able to overcome a first half run by the Aggies, although they did cut a 21-point deficit at one point to 4 points, but it wasn’t enough.

The Tigers remain on the road for Saturday’s game against Florida.

Tipoff is set for 2:30.

The Blues are looking for a second win in a row over the Calgary Flames after beating them in overtime 4 – 3 on Tuesday night.

Puck drops at Enterprise Center tonight at 7:00.

Two area high school FFA trap team members are committing to William Woods’ Outdoor Life Sports.

Trista Trivette of Paris is planning to major in equestrian science at William Woods while on the Shotgun team.

Trivette pick up third place in the Missouri State Trap Shoot in 2019.

Kate Houchins is from Bowling Green and has been a member of their trap shooting team.

She plans to study Business Administration at William Woods.
