In spring training yesterday, the Tigers got the best of St. Louis, 16 – 3 while the Royals had the day off.

Later today, the Cards visit the Yankees at 12:05 and the Royals host the White Sox at 7:05.

The Blues didn’t fare well in the desert last night, losing in Arizona 6 – 2.

They’re back in St. Louis tomorrow night hosting the Sharks at 7:00.

Mizzou’s Kobe Brown continues to pick up awards as the season winds down.

Brown has been named to the All-SEC First Team by the Associated Press.

The Tigers earned the number 4 seed in the SEC Tournament, the highest in school history, and open the postseason Friday afternoon around 2:30.

In high school girls basketball district championship games last night, Jefferson City squeezed past Helias to take the Class 5 District 5 championship 43 – 41 and it was Rock Bridge taking out Grain Valley by 10, 51 – 41 to take the Class 6 District 7 crown.

In sectional action, Moberly beat Visitation Academy 55 – 48 to advance to take on Vashon on Saturday and Southern Boone edged out Fatima 33 – 31 and will take on Ava Saturday.
