Man Accused In Hermann Shootings is Arraigned

Kenneth Lee Simpson is now arraigned in the murder of Hermann Police Detective Sergeant Mason Griffith and the shooting of Officer Adam Sullentrup.

Simpson appeared by video for the arraignment yesterday (Wednesday) morning and during the proceedings entered a plea of not guilty.

A preliminary hearing is now set for Monday morning at 9:00 in front of Judge Sonya Day Brandt after Judge Krueger recused herself from the case.

Gasconade County Prosecuting Attorney Mary Weston also filed a motion to appoint a special prosecutor in the case.
