Mexico Baseball Ends Season in District Championship Game Against Macon

The Mexico Bulldogs Baseball team fell 2-1 to the Macon Tigers in the Class 4 District 7 Championship Game in Macon tonight (Thursday).

It was a pitching duel.

Mexico senior Landyn Kleinsorge was the starting pitcher for the Bulldogs.

He lasted five innings and allowed zero runs and struck out two.

Andrew Runge threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Runge, Matt McCurdy, Austin Maxwell, and Landon Hilderman each collected one hit to lead Mexico.

The Bulldogs defense was strong once again and did not commit a single error.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into the sixth inning when Macon put up two singles and Logan Hillard drove in the runners with a double giving Macon the victory.

Mexico finishes the season at 10-19.
