The St. Louis Cardinals won in extra innings in dramatic fashion by a score of 6-5 over the San Diego Padres at Busch Stadium last night (Tuesday).

Tommy Edman delivered a pinch-hit knock deep to left plating Masyn Winn.

Wilson Contreras hit two home runs, including a two-run game-tying shot in the eighth inning.

With the victory the Cardinals snapped a four-game losing streak.

St. Louis goes for the series win against the Padres this afternoon.

The Kansas City Royals lost 6-3 to the Pittsburgh Pirates at the K.
