Mexico Lady Dawgs wrestler Alexus Johns’ season has come to an end.

She competed at State yesterday in Columbia and picked up a first round pin and lost by fall in the quarterfinals and lost by decision in wrestlebacks.

The district championship games are now set for boys basketball in Classes 1, 2, and 3.

In Class 1, Glasgow advances after beating Prairie Home with Bunceton last night, 78 – 56 and will meet Higbee tomorrow night at 6:00 after Higbee defeated Community R-6 last night in a buzzer beater, 59 – 58.

In Class 2, Clopton beat Sturgeon by 10 last night, 45 – 35 and Cairo handled Van-Far 77 – 59.

Clopton and Cairo meet tomorrow night in Sturgeon at 7:00.

Harrisburg beat Westran 60 – 39 last night and Salisbury beat New Franklin 63 – 50.

Harrisburg and Salisbury play tomorrow night at 6:00 in the championship game.

In Class 3, Louisiana fell to Lutheran North 48 – 37 and Duchesne beat Elsberry 55 – 44 setting up a Lutheran North / Duchesne championship game tomorrow night at 7:00.

Palmyra got past Monroe City last night 52 – 30 and Mark Twain’s season ended with a loss to South Shelby, 64 – 49.

Palmyra and South Shelby vie for the championship tomorrow night at 6:00.

Hermann knocked off South Callaway 67 – 54 while the Thunderbirds of North Callaway defeated Montgomery County by a pair, 43 – 41.

Hermann and North Callaway go for the championship tomorrow night at 6:00.

Girls semi-finals take place tonight.
